Ben Smith leads acquisition sourcing, strategic owner outreach, and partner relationship management for Spaceport Capital, focusing on off-market aerospace, defense, space, aviation, and mission-critical industrial assets.

Ben brings over a billion dollars in transaction sourcing expertise and a decade of institutional experience, with a specialized focus on large-scale investments and development. This background enables him to navigate complex transaction structures and identify specialized facilities where proactive restructuring of ownership, occupancy, or capital stack efficiency drives sustainable value.

He maintains an extensive network of relationships with high-net-worth family offices and private investment funds, bridging the gap between unique facility requirements and institutional capital across the full lifecycle of opportunity development.

Steve Lloyd advises Spaceport Capital on aerospace and defense relationships, operator engagement, and industry connectivity. Known by many as the “Mayor of Spaceville,” Steve brings more than 35 years of NASA, Department of Defense, and aerospace experience.

His background includes spacecraft program development, infrastructure planning, payload processing, operations, and business development across programs including Artemis, the Space Shuttle, Boeing CST-100, and SNC Dream Chaser — built during his tenure at BRPH, one of the most respected A/E/C firms in the aerospace and defense sector.

Steve’s relationships across aerospace, defense, space, and the operator community help Spaceport Capital identify infrastructure needs, understand facility requirements, and engage with operators whose assets are directly tied to mission execution.

At Spaceport Capital, Greg Dooley focuses on capital formation, strategic investment, and infrastructure solutions for the aerospace and defense industries. He brings more than two decades of experience across aerospace, capital markets, private investment, and business development, with a focus on connecting companies and projects with the capital and strategic resources required to scale.

For 15 years, Greg has advised aerospace companies, executives, and industry professionals on capital and investment strategy. His background includes senior capital-markets roles with UBS and ING Group, N.V., as well as entrepreneurial experience across manufacturing and international commerce. He works with aerospace and defense companies, institutional investors, family offices, and strategic partners to structure investments, develop specialized infrastructure, and finance mission-critical opportunities.
